Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.

OST-00-7230 April 11, 2000 Application for Exemption form 49 U.S.C. 41301 Merida- Atlanta
    Service List

By this exemption request, Aeromexico seeks authority to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between Merida, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia. The service initially is expected to consist of one round trip, Monday through Thursday, operated with MD-80 aircraft.  There currently is no single-plane or non-stop service in the Merida-Atlanta market. Consequently, Aeromexico's proposed service will provide significant benefits for U.S.-Mexico passengers and shippers and is pro-competitive.
