American Eagle will operate with 34-seat, Stage 3 compliant Saab 340B aircraft. Buffalo qualifies as a small hub airport under 49 USC 41714(h)(8). American Eagle's operations will be additional service between New York (JFK) and Buffalo. The additional service is effective July 6, 2000. To operate such service, American Eagle requires one JFK departure slot at 4:52 p.m. The return flight from Buffalo will arrive at JFK at 9:00 p.m., which is outside JFK's slot controlled hours from 3:00 p.m. to 7:59 p.m.
