Applicant filed an application to amend its foreign air carrier permit application on March 6, 1998. (Editor's Note: Application was filed Feb 18, 1998) In said application, Applicant sought to add scheduled air transportation of persons, property and mail between points in Mexico and points in the United States, and subject to applicable regulations of the Department, between points in the United States and points worldwide. The Department has not acted on the amended permit application.
In this application, Applicant seeks to renew its exemption for operations between Monterrey, Mexico and Los Angeles, California, USA. The exemption for the route was approved by the Department through a 'Notice of Action Taken' on January 11, 2001, and expires on January 27, 2002. Applicant was designated on the route by the Government of Mexico in Note No. 1436, dated November 5, 1999. It is Applicant's understanding that Note No. 1436 is in the Department's hands. The designation remains in effect.

Hereby applies for renewal of an Exemption to permit Applicant to operate scheduled air transportation of persons, property and mail between Monterey, Mexico and Los Angeles, California in the United States, and subject to applicable regulations of the Department, between points in the United States and worldwide. Applicant will operate one daily scheduled round trip between the two points.
The Applicant was re-designated by the Mexican Government on May 21, 2002 in Order 19044. See Exhibit A (not formally translated but the Order does amend the Applicant's authority by reaffirming the route designations and adding the MTY-LAX route). Page 3 of Exhibit A authorizes the MTY-LAX route, which is a double designation route. It is the Applicant's understanding that the Government of Mexico has notified the U. S. Government of the new designation(s) but the Applicant is not in possession of the official government notification.

Applicant also continues to operate scheduled air transportation between Monterrey‑Las Vegas, Monterrey‑Houston, Mexico City‑Houston, Mexico City‑Dallas and Monterrey‑Chicago under other current exemptions.
Applicant filed an application to amend its foreign air carrier permit application on March 6, 1998 (OST-98-3510 - Editor's Note: Actually Filed February 18, 1998) to add scheduled air transportation between points in Mexico and the United States, and, subject to Department regulations, between points in the United States and points worldwide. The Department has not acted on the application.
