No U.S. or foreign air carrier provides nonstop or one-stop, single-plane international air service to Baltimore from Ireland. Further, Maryland is not aware of any U.S. carrier with firm plans to provide the proposed nonstop service within a reasonable time frame.

January 11, 2000 Notice Dismissing the Application of the State of Maryland  Dublin/Shannon- Baltimore

By Notice the Department has decided to dismiss the application of the State of Maryland in Docket OST-2000-6727, and have further decided to treat that document as an Answer in support of the application of Aer Lingus. The Department will place the State of Maryland's submission in the Aer Lingus Docket, OST-2000-6726, where the views of the State of Maryland will be fully considered.
