Motion for Confidential Treatment
Pursuant to Rule 12 of the Department's Rules of Practice, US Airways, Inc. hereby requests confidential treatment of certain information contained in US Airways' Form 41 filing for the period ending March 31, 2003, and Schedule B-7 - Airframe and Aircraft Engine Acquisitions and Retirements. These filings are submitted separately herewith under seal, marked with a request for confidential treatment pursuant to Rule 12. US Airways requests that these data be withheld from public disclosure for a period of at least ten (10) years.
The information at issue is cost, amortization/depreciation and realization data relating to US Airways' airframes and aircraft engines as of December 31, 2002. This information is contained in columns 9, 10, and 11 of US Airways' Schedule B-7. (See Index A, attached hereto as Exhibit A.) In addition to filing these confidential schedules under seal, US Airways is submitting to the Office of Aviation Analysis redacted copies of the report, available for public inspection, which omit these confidential data.
