The authority currently expires on April 18, 2003. This is to advise you that Aeromexpress does not intend to seek further renewal of the authority.

Application for Renewal of Exemption

Pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 40109(c), and subpart C of the Department's Rules of Practice, 14 C.F.R. §§ 302.300 et seq., Aeromexpress, S.A. de C.V. requests renewal of the exemption authority most recently renewed by Notice of Action Taken in Docket 98-3769, dated August 22, 2002, permitting it to provide scheduled, all-cargo foreign air transportation between: (1) Mexico City and the coterminal points Chicago, Houston, Laredo, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle; (2) Guadalajara and the coterminal points Laredo, Miami, New York, and San Francisco; (3) Monterrey and the coterminal points Miami and New York; and (4) Tijuana and the coterminal points Miami, New York, and Seattle. The exemption is scheduled to expire on August 22, 2003. Aeromexpress requests that this exemption be renewed for an additional period of one year. By this application, Aeromexpress intends to invoke the automatic xtension provisions of 5 U.S.C. § 558(c) and Part 377 of the Department's Special Regulations.

Aeromexpress currently is not offering all-cargo service on these routes, but anticipates initiating such service as soon as traffic warrants. Consequently, Aeromexpress seeks to renew its authority' to serve all of these markets for another year.

On August 6, 2003, on behalf of Aeromexpress, S.A. de CV.. I filed to renew the company's exemption authority for a number of Mexico-U.S. routes, including Guadalajara-Miami. I have now been informed that Aeromexpress no longer holds a designation for the route so I am withdrawing the request that the authority be renewed.
