Application for Renewal of Exemption Authority

Aero California hereby submits this application for renewal of its exemptions from 49 U.S.C. § 41301, issued in the above dockets, allowing it to conduct certain scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail. The routes for which Aero California seeks renewal of its authority are as follows:

OST-1996-1836:

  1. Between the coterminal points of Loreto, San Jose del Cabo, Culiacan, Hermosillo, La Paz, and Manzanillo, Mexico, on the one hand, and the terminal point Los Angeles, California, on the other;
  2. between the coterminal points Mazatlan, Guaymas and Tijuana, Mexico, on the one hand, and the terminal point Los Angeles, California, on the other; and
  3. between Durango, Mexico, on the one hand, and Los Angeles, California, on the other.

OST-1997-2446:

OST-2001-9359:

With its fleet of DC-9 aircraft, Aero California currently provides service between points throughout the Baja California Peninsula and numerous other points within Mexico, and has provided service between such points, on the one hand, and Los Angeles, CA, on the other. Aero California intends to restore service at Los Angeles, CA in the near future, serving the points identified herein.

The Application is not being amended in any other respect.

OST-1997-2446 - Between Torreon, Mexico, on the one hand, and Los Angeles, California, on the other.

OST-2001-9359 - Between Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on the one hand, and Los Angeles, California, on the other.

Successfully engaged in transporting persons, property and mail within Mexico since 1967. Aero California is headquartered at La Paz, Baja California Sur International Airport. With its fleet of DC-9 aircraft, Aero California currently provides service between points throughout the Baja California Peninsula and numerous other points within Mexico, and has provided service between such points, on the one hand, and Los Angeles, CA, on the other. Aero California is currently working toward restoration of service in the next several months between certain points in Mexico for which it seeks renewal of exemption authority and Los Angeles, CA. To that end, Aero California is in the process of making arrangements for the restoration of service, including hiring personnel.
