On December 19, 1997, the Department granted Emery Air a Statement of Authorization permitting Emery Air to implement a long-term wet-lease agreement with Aer Lingus under which Emery Air provides a DC-8-73 freighter with crew to Aer Lingus for one weekly roundtrip scheduled all-cargo flight over a Dublin/Shannon- Chicago - Sha nnon/D ublin routing. Emery Air and Aer Lingus expect to extend their long-term wet-lease agreement for an additional one-year period beyond the current July 17, 1998 expiration date.
