Application for Renewal of Statement of Authorization

LAN Cargo requests renewal of its existing statement of authorization for at least a one-year period through April 14, 2009, permitting it to engage in a long-term wet lease of aircraft to Aerolane, Lineas Aereas Nacionales del Ecuador S.A. d/b/a LAN Ecuador. LAN Cargo currently wet leases aircraft to LAN Ecuador for LAN Ecuador's all-cargo flights between Ecuador and the United States. LAN Cargo's existing statement of authorization expires on April 14, 2008.

LAN Airlines, S.A. has authorized LAN Cargo to advise the Department that LAN Airlines does not seek renewal of its statement of authorization to wet lease aircraft to LAN Ecuador.
