Air 2000 Limited applies, pursuant to Section 216.4(a) of the Department’s Regulations, for a one-year renewal of Special Authorization 2000-530, as amended, to carry passengers and cargo in foreign air transportation (1) between a point or points in the United Kingdom and Orlando (Sanford International Airport), Florida, with United Kingdom-Mexico traffic not in foreign air transportation on the same flights, and (2) between a point or points in the United Kingdom and St. Thomas, with United Kingdom-Antigua traffic not in foreign air transportation on the same flights. Air 2000’s current Special Authorization for this commingling authority expires on April 28, 2002. Air 2000 invokes the automatic extension provisions of Part 377 to continue its commingling authority in effect until the Department acts on its application.
Air 2000 plans to conduct passenger charter flights operating 312-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft carrying U.K.-U.S. and U.K.-Mexico and Antigua commingled traffic as follows: (a) weekly passenger charter flights from May 6 through October 28, 2002, on a London (Gatwick)-Sanford-Puerto Vallarta-Sanford-London (Gatwick) routing; (b) weekly passenger charter flights from May 7 through October 29, 2002, on a Manchester-Sanford-Puerto Vallarta-Sanford-Manchester routing; and (c) weekly passenger charter flights from May 3 through October 25, 2002 on a London (Gatwick)-St. Thomas-Antigua-London (Gatwick) routing.
Commingling authority is requested to carry U.K.-Mexico and U.K.-Antigua passengers, up to 10,000 kgs. of U.K.-Mexico and U.K.-Antigua belly cargo as well as U.K.-U.S. and U.S.-U.K. passengers and cargo on the flights described in paragraph 2.
For the foregoing reasons, Air 2000 requests renewal of Special Authorization 2000-530 under Part 216.4 of the Department’s regulations to carry U.K.-Mexico and U.K.-Antigua passengers and cargo as well as U.K.-U.S. and U.S.-U.K. cargo on the charter flights described above.
