The justification for this request is based upon the fact that many of the circumstances which justified your approval of Amerijet's April 24, 1997 request have not yet been alleviated. Amerijet has established its facility at Los:Angeles International Airport, but it remains unable to begin its direct carrier service through that terminal. Specifically, it will be impossible for Amerijet to institute direct air carrier service through its new Los Angeles hub without having at least one additional freighter aircraft available to it. The aircraft Amerijet acquired for this purpose wee in the middle of a conversion program last April, but it still has not been completed and will not be available to return to service for at least 90 to 120 days.
Amerijet's Los Angeles operation will be a major center for its international operations. As such, its service to and through that center must be carefully coordinated with activities underway at Amerijet's other terminal locations. One of the most important parts of this coordination and control program involves the availability of effective communications so that Amerijet is able to achieve. its high level of service while also assuring that its security and drug prevention programs are fully in place and completely effective
