Statement of Authorization - Swissair
Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. ("Aeromexico"), hereby requests that the Department issue a Statement of Authorization pursuant to 14 C.F.R. Part 212, permitting Aeromexico to carry the code of Swissair, Swiss Air Transport Co., Ltd., ("Swissair") on Aeromexico flights from Mexico City to Atlanta and from New York to Mexico City. The authorization is requested for one year. Aeromexico and Swissair desire to implement the code share/blocked space service on or about August 12, 1997. Thus, a waiver of the 45-day notice requirement is requested.

On behalf of British Airways, I hereby request grant of a statement of authorization pursuant to Part 212 of the Department's regulations to the extent necessary to enable British Airways to operate one round trip charter flight between New York and Malaga, Spain. As described in the attached OST Form 4540 the flights will be operated on September 22 (Eastbound) and September 29, 1997 (Westbound) in order to transport the U.S. Ryder Cup Team to Malaga for the 1997 Ryder Cup Tournament.

Statement of Authorization for Long-Term
Wet Lease
The wet lease agreement between DHL Aero Expreso and APA International contemplates two to five flights per week between Santo Domingo or Puerto Plats, Dominican Republic, and Miami, Florida. The flights will be performed by DHL Aero Expreso's B-727264 freighter aircraft (Panamanian Registry Number PR1310), at a price per trip stated in the contract, inclusive of aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance, fuel, and landing and unloading/loading fees. All other coats are the responsibility of the lessee. Either party may terminate the agreement on reasonable notice.

Authorization to Code Share with KLM, Seattle-Amsterdam
Although Northwest does not intend to initiate Seattle-Amsterdam operations until April 5, 1998, Northwest and KLM require the authority sought in this application immediately so that KLM may begin selling its code-share service on these new nonstop flights. Northwest therefore respectfully requests that the Department waive the 45-day advance notice requirement of 14 C.F.R. 207.10 Id) and grant this application on or before July 25. 1997.
