Re: Application for Renewal of Statement of Authorization to Wet Lease Aircraft to TACA de Honduras

TACA International Airlines. S.A. ("TACA International") hereby requests a renewal of its Statement of Authorization to provide a long-term wet lease to TACA De Honduras, S.A. De C.V. ("TACA De Honduras"), a Honduran airline. TACA De Honduras holds exemption authority to provide service between Honduras and U.S. points via the intermediate point Belize City, Belize. The Department requires TACA De Honduras to operate to the United States via wet lease or code-share because Honduras is a Category III country under the FAA's international safety oversight assessment program.
