Amerijet International, Inc.

Service to Mexico

Due to unforeseen circumstances involving its aircraft maintenance and conversion program and other matters, it appears that Amerijet will not be able to complete all requirements in preparation for the initiation of its flight operations to and from Los Angeles by May 8, 1997. Amerijet has established its facility at Los Angeles and already has air terminal facilities at the three relevant points in Mexico. But other steps must still be taken, and it is now clear that they will not be completed for several weeks.

Request of Waiver of Dormancy Provision of the Advance Filing Requirement

Granting an extension of the dormancy waiver is in the public interest because it will give Emery Air the time necessary to ensure efficient, reliable allcargo service in a market where no other U.S. carrier has authority, and where there is significant shipper demand.
