Re: Joint Application for Exemptions and Statements of
Authorization
By this letter, the Joint Applicants advise the Department that, in addition to the U.S. points listed in the Joint Applicants' January 16, 1998 motion, Aeromexico has been designated by the Government of Mexico to provide service between Mexico City and Seattle, Aeromexico plans to provide Mexico City-Seattle service by listing its code on Delta's flights between Dallas/Ft. Worth and Seattle. Aeromexico's code-share service on this intra-U.S. segment will connect with its existing service between Mexico City and Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Delta's code-share service on these intra-Mexico segments will connect with Delta's existing service between Mexico City and four of its authorized U.S. gateways: Atlanta, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles and New York.

Re: Application for Emergency Short-Term Exemption | Application for Emergency Short-Term Exemption
On behalf of Pacific International Airlines ("Pacific'') enclosed please find one application on OST Form 4536 for an emergency short-term exemption to operate eight roundtrip all-cargo charter flights on behalf of ALM-Antillean Airlines over the route Miami-Aruba/Curacao-Miamí during the period February 17 through March 14, 1998. Pacific regrets the short notice being provided with this application, but ALM asked Pacific over the past weekend to operate these flights, beginning February 17. The February 16 holiday further delayed the filing of this application. Enclosed is a letter received yesterday from the Panamanian DAC authorizing Pacific to perform these services. Filing fees have been waived for Panama.
