("Air Foyle"), as agent for Antonov Design Bureau ("ADB"), submitted an application for a Statement of Authorization to operate a series of three (3) one-way fifth-freedom cargo flights between Houston and Iquitos, Peru transporting oil well supply pipes and ancillary equipment. Southern Air Transport, Inc. ("Southern") respectfully files this objection to Air FoylelADB's application.

For the past two years, Fine Air has successfully operated scheduled and nonscheduled flights. for Turks Air utilizing Fine Air's DC-8 freighter aircraft. Fine Air maintains full operational control of the aircraft, provides Turks Air with fully qualified and licensed flight crews, and maintains the aircraft at its base in Miami in keeping with an FAA-approved maintenance program. Fine Air hereby seeks renewal of its statement of authorization for a period of two years to enable Fine Air to continue to wet lease aircraft to Turks Air. By virtue of the wet lease arrangement, Turks Air is able to continue to provide valuable all-cargo services in U.S.-Caribbean markets to the benefit of shippers and receivers. Continuation of these services is clearly in the public interest.
