Request that the Department issue (1) a statement of authorization to Air New Zealand to permit it to carry the "TW" code for the transportation of cargo between Los Angeles, on the one hand, and Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Frankfurt and London Heathrow, on the other; and between Auckland on the one hand and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Honolulu on the other and (2) a statement of authorization to TWA to permit it to carry the "NZ" code for the transportation of cargo between Los Angeles on one hand and New York, Washington, DC, Dallas-Fort Worth, St. Louis, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Orlando, Miami, Denver and Boston, in each case for a period of two years. The Joint Applicants intend to commence these operations as soon as authority is granted.

Notice of Brazilian Carrier Schedule
Change
Pursuant to paragraph (1) of Section III of Annex I of the
Aviation Transport Services Agreement between the United States
of America and the Federative Republic of Brazil (the
"Bilateral") as amended by the November 18, 1997
Memorandum of Consultations between Parties to the Bilateral, and
in accordance with the terms of Mr. Gretch's letter of January 8,
1998 setting forth the terms of Department's requirements with
respect to that provision of the Bilateral, VARIG, S.A. hereby
provides notice of schedule changes to its cargo services.
Effective January 19, 1998, Flight RG 981 will operate on the following schedule:
