June 7, 2001 | Approved July 5, 2001 Re: Request to Convert Atlanta-San Jose del Cabo Route Designation to Seasonal Service Delta requests that its existing designation for the Atlanta-San Jose del Cabo route be converted from year-round to seasonal service. By Notice of Action Taken dated June 5, 2000 (Docket OST-2000-7390), the Department granted Delta Air Lines, Inc. ("Delta") an exemption authorizing Delta to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Atlanta, Georgia, and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Delta commenced service on this route on or about November 1, 2000, but temporarily suspended service for the summer season on May 31, 2001. Delta plans to resume service on a seasonal basis beginning November 1, 2001. Delta will continue to display the "AM" designator code of Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. on its seasonal flights between Atlanta and San Jose del Cabo, as authorized by Notice of Action Taken dated September 13, 2000 (Docket OST-2000-7708).
