Re: Letter of Delta and US Airways Dropping Slot Swap

On May 4, 2010, the FAA issued a Grant of Petition with Conditions in the above-referenced Docket. In its Grant, the FAA required that "[w]ithin 30 days of this grant of waiver, Delta and US Airways must notify in writing to the FAA whether they intend to proceed with the slot transfer transaction: On June 4, 2010, the FAA extended this notification deadline until July 2, 2010. By this letter, US Airways and Delta inform the FAA and the Department that they have elected not to proceed with either the slot transfer transaction or the Brazil frequency transfer (Dockets OST-2009-0197 and OST-2009-0003) under the conditions imposed by the FAA Delta and US Airways are prepared to complete the slot transfer transaction without those conditions.
