By: Wolfgang Engler Petition of Northwest Airlines, Inc. FAA-01-9852 - Amend Procedures for Allocating Air-21 Slot Exemptions at LaGuardia Airport January 21, 2005 Supplemental Comments of Northwest Airlines Northwest is not, as some apparently are concerned, asking the FAA to recall all of the LaGuardia slot exemptions that have been granted to date and then reallocate those slot exemptions according to the new procedures that Northwest is requesting. Rather, Northwest is simply requesting that the FAA amend its procedures with respect to any future lottery that may be held for the allocation of slot exemptions that may become available. Northwest believes that it never was the FAA's intent to lock out new interested carriers from participating in the lottery process. The FAA simply had never received an expression of interest from a new carrier Counsel: Northwest, Ronald Brower, 202-842-3193 |
