Exemption from 49 USC section 41301 to permit Air Georgian to conduct, for a period of one year: 1) scheduled, combination services between any point or points in Canada and any point or points in the United States; and 2) charter operations, carrying persons, property and mail, between Canada and the United States and other charters pursuant to 14 CFR Part 212. Also, Air Georgian requests a Statement of Authorization, under 14 CFR Part 212, to display Air Canada's designator code, for an indefinite period, on flights operated by Air Georgian between any point or points in Canada and the eight U.S. coterminal points Syracuse, New York; Rochester, New York; Albany, New York; Dayton, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; South Bend, Indiana; and Akron, Ohio. Air Georgian proposes, in the conduct of its U.S. operations, only to use equipment designed to have a maximum seating capacity of not more than 60 seats and a maximum payload capacity of not more than 18,000 pounds. Together with its application, the applicant filed a motion requesting the Department to withhold its financial submissions from public disclosure.

On March 3, 2000, Air Georgian was, by Notice of Action Taken, granted Exemption Authority from 49 U.S.C., Section 41301, to conduct, for a period of one year scheduled, combination services between any point or points in Canada and any point or points in the United States, and charter operations, carrying persons, property and mail, between Canada and the United States and other charters, pursuant to 14 CFR, Part 212.
Also, on March 3, 2000, Air Georgian was granted permission, by a Statement of Authorization, under 14 CFR, Part 212, to display Air Canada's designator code, for an indefinite period, on flights operated by Air Georgian between any point in Canada and the eight U.S. coterminal points of Syracuse, New York; Rochester, New York; Albany New York; Dayton, Ohio; Grand Rapid, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; South Bend, Indiana; Akron, Ohio.
On April 25, 2000, Air Georgian was granted authorization to display Air Canada's designator code on flights between Toronto, Canada and the U.S. coterminal points of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Buffalo, N.Y.
On July 3, 2000, Air Georgian was granted authorization to display Air Canada's designator code on flights between Toronto, Canada and the U.S. Coterminal points of Manchester, New Hampshire; Toledo, Ohio; Lexington, Kentucky; and Cincinnati-Lumken, Ohio.
On August 24, 2000, Air Georgian was granted authorization to display Canada Air's designator code, for an indefinite period, on the sixteen flights operated by Air Georgian, identified above, allowing Air Georgian to codeshare with both Air Canada (AC) and Canadian Air (CA) on these flights, carrying passengers holding tickets from both of these airlines.
